Nikša Agrar

Cash Flow and Receivables Platform for a High Volume Business

Nikša Agrar

About the project

Nikša Agrar moves money in more ways than a standard accounting package assumes. Alongside ordinary bank transfers there are compensations, invoices issued through the national e-invoicing system, invoices to counterparties outside it, and turnover that passes only through the fiscal register. Each of those lives somewhere else, and none of them answers the question the business asks every morning: what do we hold, what is owed to us, and what has to leave the account this week.

Apparo built a cash flow platform that collects all of it automatically and reconciles it into a single picture.

What We Built

Automatic Invoice Collection

The system pulls invoices from the national e-invoicing system and covers the flows that never appear there: turnover recorded only through the fiscal register, and invoices issued to counterparties outside the system. For every invoice it captures the amount and the value date, which is what turns a pile of documents into a payment schedule.

Bank Statements From Every Account

Statements are pulled from all of the company's banks and broken down into individual transactions. There is no manual export, no copying between spreadsheets, and no account left out because it happens to sit at a different bank.

Matching

Transactions are matched against invoices automatically. Compensations are treated as a first class form of settlement rather than an exception somebody books by hand at the end of the month, which is where most of the reconciliation effort used to go.

Partner Balances, On Any Date

Every partner carries a running balance, and that balance can be read as of a chosen date rather than only as of today. It turns a conversation about an overdue invoice into a conversation about a number instead of about who remembers what.

Obligations and Liquidity

Obligations under loans and leases are tracked alongside receivables and payables, so a forecast reflects everything that will leave the account rather than supplier invoices alone.

Position and Forecast

The platform shows the current position across all accounts and projects it forward, based on invoice value dates, known obligations and expected inflows.

The Outcome

Finance stopped assembling the picture and started reading it. Invoices, statements, compensations and obligations arrive in one system and reconcile themselves, so the questions that used to take a day of spreadsheet work now have an answer on screen.
