Porta is a manufacturer of pergolas, winter gardens, and awnings - products that require highly complex, made-to-order configurations with no room for error. Before partnering with Apparo, their operations ran on disconnected systems: sales, production, and warehouse teams worked in silos, technical specifications were manually assembled in Excel for every single order, and material waste reached 15% of raw aluminum due to unoptimized cutting patterns.

What We Built

ERP - The Operational Backbone

The platform manages the full order-to-delivery lifecycle without manual intervention. Every phase automatically triggers the next: order intake generates bills of materials, reserves stock across 7 warehouses, flags material shortages, and creates purchase proposals - all before a production order is even opened. All data flows directly into Pantheon, their financial software, with zero re-entry.

MES - Manufacturing Execution System

On the shop floor, the system takes full control. Work orders are automatically generated and assigned to workers based on availability and skill. Operators track task progress in real time, and production managers have a live view of every active job. The built-in cutting optimization algorithm reduced aluminum waste from 15% to just 4% - a 73% reduction - in the first six weeks of production.

CRM - Distributor & Sales Management

The platform includes a dedicated distributor portal where partners can access up-to-date pricing, configure products through an interactive configurator, and generate polished PDF quotes with a single click. What previously required 40 minutes of manual calculation per quote now happens instantly - eliminating pricing errors, reducing response time, and converting more leads before competitors even respond.

BOM Engine

At the core of the platform sits a powerful Bill of Materials engine. It automatically generates complete technical specifications, cutting lists, and component breakdowns for every product configuration - removing the need for any manual engineering work per order.
